Thane's Firsts


Well let me start off saying that watching Thane grow, learn new skills, develop is the most amazing feeling in the world remembering that we made this life. He so special and I love him to bits!!!


Okay well Thane first gave us that cheeky smile at 6 half weeks. It was sooo cute it was more like his mouth opening as wide as he could get it and he was so proud of himself!!! He has a smile that can melt hearts :) He now at 5 half months (25 weeks ) can laugh his little head off.


He started babbling at 18 weeks, we love hearing those first sounds of cooing and babbling. Which has now developed into proper sounds like da and dee and row row. . 


He started reaching out for things around 15 weeks like my hair and nose etc. Which now at 25 weeks he is into everything you put in his view. Especially things he is not allowed like the T.V remove and my phone. He is picking things up, putting in mouth really taking in every detail of all the things around him. He has just started scratching everything all the different textures etc. I weaned him at 4 months so in the last week he is experimenting with what you call "baby-led weaning" He has tried carrot sticks, toast and pasta swirls which he loves and is just started to learn how to pick it up and put to his mouth also he is now chewing with his gums... my clever little man...doesn't take after his parents LOL. :) 


He started grabbing things properly also around 15 weeks.And actually picking up smaller things around 21 weeks.


Thane has always loved being on his belly from a few weeks old. He got his head clear off the ground about 15 weeks old and he rolled over around  15 1/2 weeks. He now at 25 weeks shuffles around the room and leans on his side to see all angles. He uses his feet to push off things to give him a boost. He is nearly crawling just need to use his arms :) Again I have a very clever son in the making!!! 


Thane although is nearly crawling has no intention of sitting on his own he can with support but no where near sitting on his own yet. So this is yet to be learned lol. 


Thane this week got his first tooth through.  LR1 :)  This explains the grisliness and sleepless nights !! Bless him. 

In the Beginning

Hello, welcome to my blog which I have created especially for my son, Thane!! Inspired by his Uncle R and Auntie H :D  Here I will post all of Thane's firsts,stages of development, his loves and his hates etc...Just everything about Thane so we never forget the little details of the most special time of our lives! 

So, your probably wondering a few details of this person I'am calling Thane. He was born on Friday 30Th September 2011 at 9.11pm, making him roughly 23 weeks 2 days old or 5 half months old. He was born weighing 7lb 6oz and had lots of strawberry blonde hair and bright, piercing blue eyes (takes after his daddy) I had a good pregnancy and I had a good as can be labour :D. I was very lucky! 

This is the start of the life of Thane so follow us as he grows up and creates all his childhood memories and learns all the skills to survive in the real world !!! <3
